Hake with vegetables



  • 3 loins of hake (300 g / 10,5 oz)
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 green pepper
  • ½ onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 glass of white wine
  • 1 glass of water
  • 2 tablespoons of EVOO Picual
  • Saffron
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt


Chop the onion, tomato, garlic and pepper. Pour 2 tablespoons of EVOO Picual into a pan and heat on medium. Add onion, garlic and pepper and fry for 2 or 3 minutes. Add the tomato, salt and bay leaf. Pour a glass of white wine and cook for 10 minutes. Add the hake, saffron and 1 glass of water and leave for 5 minutes.

Use the Picual: We choose the Picual because of its great stability which makes it an EVOO ideal for frying. Of our three EVOOs, it is the one with the highest level of polyphenols. The stability of an EVOO depends on the polyphenols.
