FRIED APPLES RECIPE

Ingredientes

4 PEOPLE

  • 3 apples
  • 1 glass of red wine (200ml / 7 oz)
  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar 
  • ½ glass of Extra Virgin Olive Oil Picual (100ml / 3 oz)

PREPARATION

Peel the apples and cut them into large pieces as for the tarte tatin. Pour ½ glass of EVOO Picual into a pan and cook over medium heat. Then add the pieces of apple. Brown the apples on both sides for 5 minutes. Add sugar and red wine to the pan. The apples have to absorb the wine on both sides. Let the wine thicken with the sugar until it forms a syrup.
 

Use of the Picual: We choose the Picual to give contrast to this dessert, complementing the sweetness of the apple and wine with the bitterness of our Picual.
